Walk-in registration for spring semester at MCC is under way and continues through Dec. 4. It will then close down until Jan. 4 to allow for staff training at the college and winter break. Walk-in registration will begin again and Jan. 4 and run through Feb. 1. Online registration for returning students, however, is available 24/7.

“I liked the idea that it’s quick - a total of six classes in 12 weeks; and the county will help with job placement. That’s a big advantage,” Berumen said.

“The County will follow us for two years to see that we get jobs. In addition, if you can’t get to school for some reason, they’ll try to help, whether it’s tires for your car, child care or glasses, they are making resources available to help students succeed,” she added.
