Dates set for GED test, registration at HBC

The General Educational Development (GED) test, for the equivalent of a high school diploma, will be offered on Mohave Community College’s Henry Campus-Bullhead City on Sept. 11 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Sept. 12 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Mandatory registration for the test takes place Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Center on the campus, located at 3400 Highway 95. The test is limited to the first 18 people who register. The cost to take the test is $65 - cash or money order - payable at registration. Retaking any section of the exam costs $15 per test.

Persons taking the test must present two forms of identification, and one must be an official ID with a photo (valid driver’s license, passport, or state I.D. card). Anyone under 18 must provide a notarized statement from a parent or guardian giving permission to take the exam and an official withdrawal slip from the last high school attended. Those wishing to take the test must be at least 16 years old.
