LHC offers building inspector program

The International Code Compliance Preparatory Class for Residential Basic Building Inspector is being offered again this year on the Lake Havasu Campus of Mohave Community College. The class starts April 14 to June 26, and meets from 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays in Room 901 on the Lake Havasu campus, 1977 Acoma Blvd..
Through this training, provided through the Continuing Education Division at MCC, students will be prepared to take the Basic Building Inspector Certification Exam, which is needed for a career in building-code enforcement. This program includes lectures, class participation and field trips to a variety of construction sites.
There is a $450 class fee, and students are expected to purchase the 2006 International Code Compliance Residential Code Book, available through the Barnes & Noble bookstore on campus.
