MCC presents - Play On!
16th November 2009
What happens when a playwright keeps changing his mind about the script - during rehearsal?
Mohave Community College’s theatre department from the North Mohave Campus in Colorado City will perform “Play On!” by Rick Abbott on Dec. 2, 3 and 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the El Capitan school auditorium in Colorado City.
The play is about a community theatre troupe’s comical misadventures as they desperately attempt to put on the play “Murder Most Foul,” with the playwright constantly rewriting the script.
“Play On!” is the sixth MCC production directed by Doug Bishop, who has been instructing at the college since 2006. His previous performances include “Oklahoma,” “Seussical the Musical,” “Rumors” and “The Curious Savage.” He will collaborate with MCC music instructor Dr. Ken Peterson on the musical “Once Upon a Mattress” in the Spring.
Cast members in “Play On!” include Alex Barlow, Charles Barlow, Michelle Harker, Sienna Horsley, Alex Ivory, Kim Naylor, Sandy Naylor, Julia Timpson and Sharon Timpson
Tickets for “Play On!” are $4 for students and $6 for adults and can be purchased at the door or by calling MCC at (928) 875-2799.
