15 tons of computer equipment taken in at MCC

 In picture, MC4 members Chris Kett and Jake McTaggart help load one of the trucks with computers, monitors, scanners and printers headed to Phoenix.  “Thank you Kingman, Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City,” was the chant this week from Andra Goldberg, Brian Siemens and Matt Butcher, advisors for the Mohave Community College Computer Club (MC4), as club members collected more than 20,000 pounds of computer equipment Saturday on the three campuses. Instead of ending up in landfills, the 10 tons connected Saturday and five more tons in storage from the last drive, will recycled by Westech Recycler of Phoenix, then Westech donates 2 cents per pound back to MC4.
