ELAA orientations set to teach adults to speak or improve English

27th February 2008

The need to communicate well in English grows daily, so the English Language Acquisition for Adults (ELAA) program at Mohave Community College is planning a series of orientations on the three southern campuses in the first two weeks of March.

The ELAA program will be introduced to those who speak English as a second language as well as those who wish to improve their current English skills. All prospective students will be tested for their level of proficiency.

In Bullhead City, orientation will be held March 5, 6 and 7 at 6 p.m. in Room 210; in Kingman on March 10 and 11 at 4 p.m. in Room 207B; and in Lake Havasu City on March 12 and 13 at 4 p.m. in Room 817. It is necessary to attend each of the orientation sessions.

The ELAA orientations are for all potential students whose native language is other than English. Those who attend will be informed about the program, tested and placed in the appropriate ELAA courses offered for the second session of the spring semester at MCC.
