25th February 2008

If the nationwide stories of workplace violence have you concerned, the Continuing Education Division of Mohave Community College is offering a workshop titled “Avoid Violence in the Workplace” on the Henry Campus - Bullhead City on March 13.

The workshop will run 6 to 10 p.m. in Room 108, and will be facilitated by Pam Christenson, an experienced facilitator in Florida as well as Arizona. She has facilitated this workshop in Bullhead City previously.

Upon completion of the workshop, students will be able to: be proactive about improving workplace safety; increase employee confidence and productivity; build respectful workplace relationships; understand and apply firing and layoff techniques; and learn to implement flexible and adaptable solutions for managing difficult situations.

Students should preregister by calling the Division of Continuing Education at (928)-758-2198 as eight persons are needed for the workshop. The cost is $32 per student and that should be paid at time of registration with credit card or check.  Students can also register in the CE office in the 200 Building on the campus, 3400 Highway 95, in Bullhead City.
