MCC instructor named national delegate to surgical tech conference
14th March 2008
Dr. Robert Goodrich, Mohave Community College’s coordinator of surgical technology, was recently elected to be a delegate to the Association of Surgical Technology national conference, to be held May 21-24 in Orlando, Fla. The election came during last weekend’s meeting of the Arizona state assembly of the Association of Surgical Technology on the Lake Havasu Campus of MCC. That gathering featured a seminar titled “Fun in the Sun,” which brought 60 surgical technologists from all over Arizona to take a look at a current study on trauma injuries.
Goodrich started at MCC in 2002 and was named program coordinator in June 2007.
“There are only six delegates chosen from the state of Arizona,” Goodrich said. “It is a great honor for me and MCC’s surgical technology program to have achieved such an honor. I look forward to the convention and learning ways to help make the program more beneficial to our students.”
