MCC offers free dental cleanings, sealant for Mohave County children on Feb. 23

As a community outreach program, dental hygiene students on Mohave Community College’s Henry Campus - Bullhead City campus will perform free dental cleanings and fluoride treatments as well as offer oral hygiene instructions to Mohave County children on Feb. 23. The annual “Give Kids a Smile” program is for children aged 4 to 15 years of age, and the event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments must be made in advance.
The dental services will be provided under the supervision of community volunteer dental hygienists and pediatric dentist Dr. J.R. DiCarlo. In addition to the cleanings, children identified as needing sealants can also have them placed without cost.
Last year, 62 children participated and 120 sealants were placed.
