CE offers free pre-apprentice construction course for high school grads and those with GED

The Continuing Education Division on Mohave Community College’s Thomas C. Henry Campus - Bullhead City is offering a free pre-apprenticeship program that runs from Feb. 4 to May 2.
The program is free and open to all Mohave County adults who are high school graduates or possess their GED and who wish to gain new experience and knowledge in the construction industry. The program prepares the student to enter into work leading to journey worker status.
The course focuses on and includes basic construction math, basic blueprint drawing and reading, an OSHA safety certificate, an ADOT flagging certificate and a review of skills necessary to complete an application, a resume and a basic construction project.
The 12-week will be held on the Bullhead City campus from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday thorugh Friday.
There is no charge to participants who will, upon completion of the course, receive a certificate of completion to take to a prospective employer.
