Eight students from Mohave Community College were honored Feb. 21 at Mesa Community College as members of the 2008 All-Arizona Community College Academic Team. Each MCC campus nominated two students who were place by the judges on the first, second and third teams. Students from the North Mohave Campus in Colorado City pictured with the medals they were presented are, Carrie Williams, left, and Leyessa Dockstader, right, who were both named to second team. In the middle is Williams’ father, Jesse Farnsworth. The state scholastic team is sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges.
