Science Club at NCK hosts public Health Fair
8th April 2008
The Science Club on Mohave Community College’s Neal Campus - Kingman will host a public health fair in the Student Center (Building 200) on Saturday (April 12).
More than 25 booths will take part in the fair, which runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and drawings will be held for exciting prizes to help raise funds for local student Alicia Gillespie, an MCC student who wants to participate in a student ambassadorship to Europe this summer.
Some of the health-related booths taking part are Arizona Desert Dermatology, Mohave Mental Health, Mojo Health and Wellness, MCC nursing students doing blood pressure and glucose tests, Curves for Women and The Diet Center.
In addition to health-related booths, participants will include all four Kingman City Council candidates, the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Voter Registration, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, the Arizona Attorney General and Greenbean Espresso and Tea.
There will also be a barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the proceeds to also help fund Gillespie’s ambassadorship.
