Second blood drive slated for Feb. 16

First-time blood donor Jamie Allan, a student at Mohave Community College’s Bullhead City campus, gets reassurance from United Blood Services phlebotomist Katherine Snodgrass. MCC hosted the blood drive on Feb. 2, but those who want to give the gift of life can do so at a second blood drive to be sponsored by the Student Nurses’ Organization on Feb. 16 from 1 to 6 p.m., at the Bullhead City campus, 3400 Highway 95. UBS tests each blood donation for cholesterol and other factors. Donors can get their confidential results at http://www.unitedbloodservies.org/ within seven days of their donation.
